The roadmap

What is in the app today, and what is planted for later. No dates you can hold us to, and nothing dressed up as finished when it is not.

In the app today

  • Shipped

    Visual garden plotting

Beds on a grid with zoom, edit mode, multi-cell planting, and merged plots.

  • Shipped

    Plant logging

Names, varieties, containers, planting dates, and notes.

  • Shipped

    Pet-safety checks

Per-pet toxicity verdicts from the ASPCA lists, with cautious handling of ambiguous names.

  • Shipped

    Weather care alerts

Freeze, frost, heat, and wind read against your plants when you open the app.

  • Shipped

    Care reminders, in app

Watering and seasonal tasks on a cadence, shown on Home and each plant page when you open the app.

Planted for later

  • Planned

    Push notifications

Reminders that reach your lock screen instead of waiting for you to open the app.

  • Planned

    Nursery tag scanning

Point the camera at a tag and have the plant filled in from the printed text. Today the scanner is a demo that drops in a sample; it cannot read your tag yet. Reading will happen on your device.

  • Planned

Identify a plant from a photo

A name to start from when you inherit a mystery plant.

  • Planned

    Plant doctor

Photograph a struggling plant and get help working out what is wrong.

  • Planned

    A care library

Growing guides, seasonal calendars, and companions, per plant, from openly licensed sources and always attributed.

How we decide what to say here

If a feature is not in the build, it lives on this page and nowhere else. Safety data stays authoritative (ASPCA only). The app tells you when it does not know something rather than filling the silence with a guess.
